Traditional style steelhead flies are those tied on single hooks and typically using hairwing, featherwing or even Zonker tying styles. Traditional steelhead flies are a bit overshadowed by articulated flies these days, but a small, traditional steelhead fly is still the name of the game in low, clear water in late summer and fall on most steelhead rivers.
