Worms

Worm flies imitate small worms that float downstream and are easy prey for trout and other gamefish.  Worm flies aren't going to grace the cover of many fly fishing magazines and may not have made the cut in Norman Maclean's, A River Runs Through It, but they are still flies and certainly catch fish.  Try a juicy worm pattern after a rainstorm and mark it up to matching the hatch.
